You can make a teddy bear shaped pan into Winnie the Pooh by putting a red shirt on the bear and using a dark yellow icing for the bear. But even easier is getting plastic Winnie the Pooh characters to put on top of the cake. There are also cake toppers that can be found online that you can plainly put on top of a sheet cake.

A 9-inch round cake can easily be made into a baseball with some white frosting with red frosting piped on for the baseball laces. A soccer ball or basketball could also be easily made out of this size cake, you just need separate frosting colors. You could also cut this sized cake into the shape of a football. Having a few separate ball shaped cakes can make this theme fun and contribute abundance of cake for your guests.

This is probably the easiest theme to find ideas for. There are several separate duck shaped cake pans that you can get. Small rubber ducks or rubber duck bath toys make easy cake or cupcake toppers.

Wow!  It's that time of year again.  It's your kid's birthday.  You've got a lot to do to make this year's party good than last year.  As parents we struggle with that every year.  What to do to top the year before.  It gets harder and harder as your child gets older.  Luckily birthday cake decoration doesn't have to be something that's hard to top.  I'm going to make your life easier by listing some great birthday cake decoration themes you can use for your cake.

Every year we take the kids to Disney's Pirates and Princess party.  The entire family gets dressed up for the event, and we have a blast.  So if you have twins or two kids with close birthday's like we do (our kids' birthdays are 6 days apart) then this would be a great cake theme.
